Walk behind the 'Fall of Snow'

This is a quick reference, not a full walked guide. The facts below — location, parking, grid reference and access — are maintained from our dataset, but we haven't published our own first-hand write-up of Sgwd yr Eira & the Four Falls yet. Know it well? Help us get it right.

The jewel of 'Waterfall Country' — a wide curtain of water you can actually walk behind, deep in the wooded gorges around Ystradfellte where four rivers tumble over a series of dramatic falls. Reaching it is part of a walk, not a drive-up: the Four Waterfalls Walk from Cwm Porth runs about five miles and can be muddy and slippery, so wear proper boots. Sgwd yr Eira is the one to duck behind — expect to get pleasantly damp. Parking is paid.
