A brooding Bronze Age circle of some 30 stones on open moorland around 400 metres above Penmaenmawr, set on an ancient trackway with vast views over the sea and up into the Carneddau. Wild ponies often share the ground. The approach is by mountain lane and path from Penmaenmawr and can be boggy, but the reward — especially in low evening light — is wild and memorable. Free and open access.
