Three stacked bridges over a 90m gorge

This is a quick reference, not a full walked guide. The facts below — location, parking, grid reference and access — are maintained from our dataset, but we haven't published our own first-hand write-up of Devil's Bridge Falls yet. Know it well? Help us get it right.

Three bridges stacked one above another span a plunging wooded gorge where the Afon Mynach drops nearly 90 metres in a chain of falls — a spot wrapped in devil legend and reached, if you like, by the Vale of Rheidol steam railway climbing up from Aberystwyth. There are two paths: a short viewpoint by the bridges and the steeper Nature Trail with its dizzying Jacob's Ladder steps. It's at its best after rain; entry is by turnstile.
