This is a quick reference, not a full walked guide. The facts below — location, parking, grid reference and access — are maintained from our dataset, but we haven't published our own first-hand write-up of Gwern Gôf Isaf Campsite yet. Know it well? Help us get it right.
A no-frills farm campsite in the very shadow of Tryfan that has hosted mountaineers for a century — unzip the tent and the North Ridge fills the doorway. Facilities are basic and the nights are cold even in summer, but the position is unbeatable, with Tryfan, the Glyderau and Cwm Idwal all walkable from the field. Pitches are first-come, first-served.
