One of Britain's great gardens — 80 acres above the Conwy valley, famous for a golden laburnum arch that peaks in late May and early June, formal Italianate terraces facing the Snowdonia skyline, and a wild wooded dell along the river. The National Trust runs it, and the café is excellent. Come in spring for the arch and rhododendrons, or in autumn for the colour in The Dell — it rewards a visit in almost any season.
Getting there
Bodnant Garden (NT) is in Conwy Valley, Conwy & the Coast. It's roughly 12 min (3.1 miles) from Conwy , and within reach of Penmaenmawr (18 min) and Colwyn Bay (18 min).
The nearest parking: NT visitor car park off the A470. Grid reference SH 801 728 — works on any OS map and doesn't need a phone signal.

Laburnum arch peaks late May; autumn colour in The Dell is equally special. Great café.
