Family-favourite golden sands

This is a quick reference, not a full walked guide. The facts below — location, parking, grid reference and access — are maintained from our dataset, but we haven't published our own first-hand write-up of Benllech Beach yet. Know it well? Help us get it right.

Anglesey's classic family beach: a broad stretch of golden sand with safe swimming, cafés on the slipway and easy coast-path walks round to Red Wharf Bay. It's reliable and unfussy, about 45 minutes from the North-East coast. It gets busy in season, so mornings and evenings are calmer, and flat days make for gentle beginner paddleboarding. Parking is paid.
