A vast 19th-century Gothic folly draped for hundreds of yards along a wooded hillside above Abergele — turrets, towers and terraced gardens, now the subject of an ongoing restoration and familiar to millions as a recent home of 'I'm a Celebrity'. Check opening days and tickets online before visiting, as access varies with the restoration work. The woodland walks above give free 'castle in the trees' views if you'd rather just admire it.

Gwrych Castle is in Abergele, North-East Wales. It's roughly 7 min (1 miles) from Abergele , and within reach of Colwyn Bay (16 min) and Rhyl (18 min).
