Big-sky reservoir with SUP hire

This is a quick reference, not a full walked guide. The facts below — location, parking, grid reference and access — are maintained from our dataset, but we haven't published our own first-hand write-up of Llyn Brenig yet. Know it well? Help us get it right.

A huge moorland reservoir on the Denbigh Moors, about 35 minutes from the coast, with a proper watersports setup — SUP and kayak hire, day permits, a visitor centre and café, and a Bronze Age archaeology trail around the shore. It's the easiest 'first paddle with mates' venue in the area, since you can hire everything on site. Ospreys nest here in summer, so bring binoculars. Big skies and plenty of room to spread out.
